About Martin's Flowers
Established in 1946 providing high quality floral services.

History
Returning from serving in the military after World War II, brothers Henry and Fred Martin opened Martin's Florist and Greenhouses which included thirteen (13) greenhouses and a retail flower shop located just North of Boston. The Martins opened their doors 1946 and began growing and selling flowers. While Henry and Fred managed the wholesale side of the business, Brother Ernie and Sister Muriel managed the retail Flower Shop. Ernie continues to work in the shop on a part time basis.
The greenhouses produced all types of organically grown flowers including; Sweet Peas, Tulips, Carnations, Snap Dragons, and all types of flowering plants. However, the Martin’s were consistently recognized for their award winning sweet peas. They became the largest grower of sweet peas in New England and throughout the 1950s into the 1970s they won several floral awards at Boston's annual Flower Show being recognized for their exceptional quality.
Dan and Maureen, Son and Daughter of Henry Martin continue to operate the business. Dan manages the store on the North Shore which, year after year, is honored with the rating of #1 area florist. This award is in recognition of their long standing tradition of delivering high quality floral services.
Maureen will now be managing the South Shore store in the Pinehills of Plymouth. Our goal is to achieve that same level of recognition in the Plymouth and Cape Cod communities as we have recieved in our North Shore store.
This long history of success provides the foundation of the skills and experience that is Martin's Flowers.
